I am reposting the following in this Forum due to the responses I got in another.

We are using BES 10.1.2.6 with Z10's (OS:10.2.0.1803/Software: 10.2.0.429) and MS-Exchange 2007. Mails with attachments are sometimes sent from the Z10 multiple times with somewhat truncated attachments. It seems as if the blackberry tries to relay the mail until the attachment is being sent entirely. For what it is worth we dont experience this with any other mail-client.

Found the following in the mdat logs around the time (milliseconds) an email with truncated attachment was sent from a Z10:

The attachment is 1003 KB and only 105 KB of the attachment were received/sent. On the exchange server the option ignore client certificate is set.

Not sure if I read the logs correctly though and am not sure if that is related to the issue at hand. If anyone has any relevant ideas and cares to share I'd be happy to hear about it.

have you tried using a current OS on the Z10? 10.2.1 is out

yes upgraded/updated the Z10's the day before yesterday - didnt help though, I have removed some of the affected users and set them up on BAS and Z10 - also didnt help :(

I sent one more message from my Z10 to my own gmail account on the 20th at 14:18. Of course the attachment was truncated again and the mail msg is still in my outbox on my Z10, this time blackberry didnt try to relay the mail over and over again until the entire attachment is sent/arrived. Only 303 KB were sent according to outlook (sent items) whereas the message in the outbox of the Z10 shows 1003 KB.

I extracted some logs (disp logs on blackberry server and corresponding W3C logs on exchange server) and attached them. If you wonder why the W3C logs are off by an hour read here: => forums.iis.net/t/1192949.aspx
