Default Diffrence in data files (Backup files *.IPD)

Hey everyone, i hope someone can help me. I had blackberry 7250 from Verizon and i finally decided to update it to 8830 the new Verizon world phone. Before I updated the phone i copied all my email messages into *.IPD file, which I kept till my new blackberry, arrived. When it arrived i connected my blackberry to Desktop Manager and went to back and recovery opened my IPD file and tried to copy all my messages into my new blackberry. However, it seems like its copying messages into my blackberry but it did not work, actually it erased all my messages from the new blackberry. I am not sure what to do at this point and what can I do to fix this problem. Please HELP.
