Default I'm Back!

Hi all, I am back again. I am going to give the Storm another try. I really like the look of it and the large screen. Texting will take some getting used to considering I have long nails; they certainly pose a problem with texting.

ernhrts3n8, have you had a thread posted somewhere about when you left ?
perhaps posting 'i'm back' in that thread makes more sense....

welcome back. the hardware sure is nice. I'm thinking of getting a Storm 2 if it still has a click screen (hate typing with a passion, on my Touch). If the Pre turns out to not be quite the god's gift to the world that some pundits have made it out to be, there just might be a Storm 2 in my future.

I've already found out some negatives about the Pre

1. apparently no call & message indicator LED
2. NO VOICE DIALING (no hard key on the phone, it initiate voice dialing, meaning there will be no way to VD without looking at the screen, should a 3rd party or Palm provide the function at a later date)
3. I'm not fond of the retro looking rounded edges of the screen, which will obscure text that's edge to edge like in the browser or e-reader, or perhaps even when scrolling through emails. I think they masked off the corners just for effect. the actual screen is likely made as a perfect rectangle.

I must admit that I have had a lot of issues with this phone. It is certainly not as stable as the curve. I want to get to like this phone because of the the big screen on it. I did the upgrade and now I am seeing more connection issues and the menu bar not working properly. I was on with Verizon today and I stated to them that I hope that they give us Storm users a huge discount on the Storm 2 when all the bugs are fixed on this phone. Didn't really get an answer. I also told him that I hoped that these calls are being recorded because maybe if Verizon hears all the frustration that we are going through that they will then make a proper uprgrade and give a huge discount. Hopefullly that tactict will work for all of us. Time will tell. What is the saying...the squeaky wheel gets the oil....well, that is my plan for Verizon. If I continue to have issues with this phone I will just keep callnig them and then maybe they will give me a free Storm 2....lol. Wish me luck!
