just figured i would give you a heads up. i spoke with rim yesterday and they said that this is not a bug in the software and that it is normal to have to reboot the BES after and exchange reboot.

In a Microsoft Exchange Environment, whenever you reboot an Exchange server that Blackberry users are on, it is necessary to reboot the Blackberry Server once the last Exchange Server has been Rebooted and brought back online.

Summary The Blackberry Server creates a MAPI connection back to the Exchange server Blackberry users are on. This connection is cached so when the Exchange server has been rebooted, this causes the MAPI connection to break. Since the Blackberry Sever is unable to re-establish this connection you have to reboot the Blackberry system in order to re-establish the MAPI connection. Failure to do this, can cause user problems receiving emails to this Blackberry Device.
