Exclamation 8900 Os 5.0.0.348 Caution!!!

Please Login to Remove!

Big problem after upgrading 8900 to 5.0.0.348. Actually worked great for everything on the phone BUT then I could no longer hook to DeskTop Manager. DeskTop Manager says is an incompatible OS. Causes me great heartache when I couldn't figure out how in the world I could downgrade back when I couldn't hook the phone to the DeskTop Manager. Finally remembered a trick a Tmobile Rep had taught me once. Take out the battery and then hook to DeskTop Manager. This worked. First of course I had to take the new OS off of my computer and put the old one on. Hope this helps someone else! P.S. Be sure and put the battery back in during the process so that the phone will be able to "reboot".

Have not had this problem Tried updating your DM? Alternatively, you can downgrade without the DM by running 'loader.exe' in the 'appdata' folder, I believe.

Now I had a similar problem with .314, but my DM with my mac has no problem with it.
I'm pretty sure you don't downgrade or upgrade using the DM (it is possible yeah) but why not just download the update yourself (assume you have since you have .348) and downgrade that way.
When you use an alternative way to upgrade you're most likely going to have to use an alternative way to downgrade, but you found that out already. haha

So I gather there may be some problems with UMA. Some features of QuickLaunch have gone funny (SMS and Bluetooth toggle, for instance), waiting for an update of the BeejiveIM beta, and not having to do my own fix for the backdrop on the app screen issue, but otherwise I much prefer it to OS 4.6.

The only problem i got on the 348 was that the browser was really slow or most of the apps that use data and uma works on 348 but i rather have a fast browser rather than free calls!!
