Default WAP site problems

Please Login to Remove!

I can log in to the main site but when I try to log into the WAP site it tells me "your username and/or password is incorrect, or you have been denied access to the forum". I've been trying the same name and password I use for the main forum. I've also tried creating a new account using my phone's browser and that doesn't work either. Any suggestions? Thanks

Sounds like you are entering the password incorrectly on the 8100... The password is case sensitive.... If there are numbers in it make sure you are entering the password as numbers and not letters....

Best of luck

OK, I just figured out that I'm using the wrong password. I've been trying ever since I got my phone and never figured that out. Thanks for the help.

Well I'm back. I thought I had figured it out but I havn't. When I made the last post I was putting the password in incorrectly. When I tried the right password, it still doesn't work. I'm 99% sure I'm putting everything in correctly.

It has to be an input error of some type since you are the only poster with this issue... The password is case sensitive.... On suretype (8100) make sure you are entering numbers and caps correctly....

I tried taking the numbers out of my password (using computer) and even capitalizing the first letter. None of these have worked. I can log into the site using blackberryforums.com just not wap.blackberryforums.com (using my phone).

Then it is still getting entered in wrong.....

Example of your username:

mr_smith

Are you adding the underline _ between mr and smith???

example of password: pAsswOrd1
If it has an O (letter) make sure you are entering the letter O and not the number 0 in it's place....

I'm positive that I'm putting everything in correctly. Here are screen shots:

I really appreciate your help LunkHead. Do I have to register my name at the wap site too?

I never tried that. I just cleared it and I'll try it again when I get off the phone.
I tried to connect again and it still doesn't work.

Your log in name looks correct... Try changing the password to something easy like qwerty (or something easy) and see if that works.... If not it might be time for a Mod to take a looksie at your account.....

are you using multitap to input the password? For example if my password was "john" I would type it like this "jk" "op" "gh" "gh" "bn" "bn". Does that make sense?

I've tried that. I went from a 15 character password including numbers to a 6 character word.

I do use multitap to enter the password and username. I've also tried typing my username and password into a text. Then cutting and pasting them into my browser.

If either of you guys would like to give it a try and see if it works on your phone, I'd trust you with my information.

EDIT:
I just logged on to blackberryforums.com by pasting my password into the field. Then went to the wap site and tried by pasting it there and same message

You're welcome to PM me with it and I'll try it. I know that sometimes I'll enter my password on the wap site and I'll get that message even when I know I entered it right. Then I enter it again and it works.
