Default Upgraded w/o difficulty - BB Messenger still w/ issues

Upgraded w/o a problem - as with previous versions of 4.5 though, when I pull the battery on my 8310, the BB Messenger contacts all revert to a "pending update" - send pin update now status. Why is this? It seems to have little effect as I can send and receive bb instant messages but it is strange and unusual. Any thoughts?

TIA

It will remain Network Locked.

Unless you get it unlocked by purchasing unlock code.

So you're saying to remove the media card for "a while." How long is a while? I have evreything stored on that thing.

"A while"? Long enough to determine IF the random reboots stop, or continue.

Or, just go ahead and perform what is recommended in this thread:

I just upgraded to .81, things are great except I have calender issues. With the previous OS my secretary could email me an appointment from outlook and on my BB I would simply hit accept and it was integrated into my BB calender.

I don't have this option now which is very important to me, my secretary and I use this like a million times a day. Now when I open the email/appointment invite it opens like an email with an unknown attachment that can't open.

I am on BIS.

Is this simply a settings issue, if so can someone please shed some light on it for me.

Any help is appreciated.

Look at Options > Advanced > Default Services. Do you have your business email set as the default email profile for the calendar?

No, it's the blackberry email address.

Calendar (CICAL).

Yep, and you need to have that email enabled as the default as well for those appointments to show in the calendar.

Do you have the CICAL service book listed in Service Books? If not, resend your service books.

Options > Advanced > Service Books.

If you see the one there with your email address in question, it should be listed twice, once with a [CIMIME] and once with a [CICAL]. I would delete both.

Then go to Options > Advanced > HRT and press Menu > Register to resend them.

You might also need to do a battery pull to reboot the device.

Got it sorted out. I went to my providers BB page and resend the service books. Everything is ticking beautifully.

Thanks for the great help JSanders.

I had the same problem. Ended up being two corrupt images on my memory SD card. I cleaned up my files and the problem was gone.

I was able to replicate it by going to the MEDIA section and trying to browse pictures. You may have the similar issue and it may not be a picture but perhaps a song.

It's possible it occurs while the phone is "scanning" your card files after the reboot.

Hope that helps.

Is it hourglassing alot? The new OS does a media card scan so it's likely that it's in the middle of that. Give it some time to finish that. If you open the Media app you may see the scanning bar.
