Default T-Mobile charges $2.99/month for 'WHERE' application?

Please Login to Remove!

I had this on my G1 back then and it was awesome, well, free too, since when T-Mobile charges you for having this on your BB?

$2.99 monntly? You gotta be kidding me!

Anyone has an OTA link for this instead so I don't have to go through the link by T-Mobile, then they might charge me $2.99 since I gotta agree to the damn term and condition!

If someone had useful information, they would post.

I don't know anything about it.

Where are you seeing what you're seeing? You are sure it is a monthly fee and not a one time purchase price? Just curious. I know I looked up Where onetime, but didn't try it.

The link was pushed to the phone by T-Mobile, with a bunch more of games trials... Here's the screenshot

Ok. I haven't seen it on my end yet.

I wonder what you get for the subscription price that isn't available in the "free" alternatives?

FWIW

I'm probably an outlier. But BB maps has almost always been all I need. I've used Google Maps, Yahoo Go!, Windows Live Search, Trip Genius, and now the Bing mobile app. Haven't tried Poynt, though, and never did try Where.

For me, BB maps is fast, and Bing will make up for BB map's shortcomings on local search. But that's me.

I do use Poynt, mostly for the movies, but WHERE has other features which are pretty cool. Anyway, anybody has an OTA link? perhaps for 8900 should work too...

Already been there, I was looking for an app OTA, I had this once on unlocked Bold 9000 on T-Mobile, no charge!

well i been looking all over and their website doesnt say anything about a charge. and it says its supports the 8900 and android on tmobile. they said its in the app world. its not in the one for 9700 so its probably not compatible yet. though i havent checked on my 8900.
