Default For the love of God, stop asking me to downgrade my OTA downloaded apps! :x

Please Login to Remove!

What can I do to prevent this? Every time I use the Application Loader to load a new program, I have the option to either downgrade or remove Docs to Go and Google Talk.

How about "DON'T F$^*#ING TOUCH MY APPLICATIONS"? Every time I want to add one, I have to remove, and add 3. Damn you RIM for making bass ackwards software.

Did you originally install these applications on the PC, and then upgrade them OTA? If so, are the original ones are still on the PC hard drive?

I agree. Whenever I go to Application Loader I have to be careful not to downgrade Documents To Go. What is the point?

Google Talk and Docs to Go come with all versions of OS 4.5. However, they're all outdated and I have since upgraded to current versions. Everytime I run the Application Loader, it'll ask me.

dmacd: how do you not downgrade? I only have the option to downgrade or to remove.

Delete the offending .cod file from your java folder. In my case it is located at C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\Shared\Loader Files\8100-v4.5.0.69_P2.7.0.72\Java. If you are not sure which cod to delete, open the app loader in the DM, select the app that wants to downgrade and click details near the bottom of the window. The name of the cod should be listed under modules.

Won't that cause App Loader to uninstall it?

I'd like to see an option to leave them alone, too. However, the Documents To Go issue is well documented on the forum and has been added to the FAQ as x14 posted above. It's a simple fix.
