Default how do you put it on silence...quickly?

Please Login to Remove!

hey guys,

i was wondering you all silence your phone when you are going into a meeting or somewhere and how do you do it quickly?

on my old razr i just pushed the volume key while it was closed to access what mode it was on (loud) and pushed the button below it to scroll through the list of soft, ring then vib, vibrate, silent.

it took like 3 seconds to do it. is there a way to do it on the Pearl without going to profiles and choosing silent?

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry Pearl 8100)

You could set up one of the convenience keys to open your profiles, and then quickly switch it that way. You can also hold down the # key on the Pearl for about 5 seconds and that will put it on the Vibrate profile.

On a Pearl, it only takes a second to switch profiles - how fast do you need it to be?

If it starts making noises in a meeting, use the mute button up top.

Mine has a key that seems to put it into vibrate mode instantly when pushed. It is the 2nd key from the right on the bottom.

AKA - the # key. I used to use that all the time. Unfortunately, that shortcut does not work with a locked device with OS 4.5.x.x. The device must be unlocked first.

Yeah, edit your Vibrate profile to be silent.
