Default BB Link: Does Anyone Have an Earlier Version?

Please Login to Remove!

BlackBerry Link v 1.2.3.23 is currently installed on my computer. Did anyone out there save a copy of the version of BB Link that preceded this current version? If so, would you care to share the file? I'd like to try reverting to the previous version, but earlier versions I can't find on-line (at least not where I've been searching).

Thanks.

Thanks for sharing that link. However, note in my original post that I have been looking for the version of BB Link that immediately preceded Version 1.2.3.23 that I have now. There have been several versions that have been distributed since version 1.1.0.33 that is available in the link you shared. If I knew the numerical name of the version that preceded the current V. 1.2.3.23, I'm sure I could find it in a search...but I simply don't know which version I had prior to installing what I have now.

You need to check upgrades available at blackberry.com for your model and supported version from your carrier.
There is a model specific listing on the forum you can also try.
DONT experiment with the wrong version.

Also it's better to open your own thread to get a response next time.

Thanks for your input.

Two comments: "upgrades" are the problem! BB Link was working when using the previous versions. It has not worked correctly one single time since the "upgrade" was installed several weeks ago! The "upgrade" is worthless, and there has been no later version since the last one installed. There are many, many posts complaining of the same phenomenon on this and other BB sites, and even RIM's support site acknowledges the issue and states that there is no known solution at the present time. BB Link does not function now anyway, so what harm is there in trying to revert to an earlier version that I knew, for a fact, did function? Also, I'm not sure what you mean by opening my own thread to get a response. This is my own thread. Note the first post: it was I who started it.

It's just unfathomable. What my first BB did easily within a few seconds ten years ago...sync my Outlook Contacts and Calendar using BB Desktop Manager... is now an absolutely impossible task using BB Link. So much for "new and improved" advancement!

UPDATE: After giving this a lot of thought and searching in vain for a downloaded file of an older version of BB Link, I searched my computer's recycle bin and found an older version of BB Link! It was version 1.2.2.13. I uninstalled the latest version of Link, reinstalled this older version which I knew had worked before the "updated" version replaced it...AND NOW EVERYTHING WORKS PROPERLY AND I CAN ONCE-AGAIN SYNC MY Z10 WITH OUTLOOK!
