no brick here, people are idiots sometimes when upgrading any firmware.
MobilMe running fine, forwarding 4 addresses to it now and push is working great and the sync is working well too.

Dawg, i would say if I was having problems. well unless it was you that asked of course.

?? no idea what you mean here, I'm stating that I'm having no problems with MobileMe and its services & my statement was that upgrading firmware on anything is never going to run 100%. more the idiots at home but yes there are idiots at the stores as well. they are everywhere.

Thanks

I agree.

Its funny DAWG how the one in a million gets his to work and everyone else are morons. As of 3:54ept APPLE and ATT still have no answer on how to fix the activation issues. Some are saying by mid day Saturday things will pick up.

In the meantime Blackberry still shows outage free at present.

Wow, I didn't realize the launch of one device trying to catch up to another could cause a device to "die". We have learned something here today folks....

So forwarding 4 email accounts to one improves capabilities by how?

Whats the point of having 4 different email accounts if they all are forwarded to and replied with one account?

If I give someone my hotmail account, I did that for a reason. I'd hate to give someone my hotmail account then I reply by my gmail account and when the get the email back, they are like, "WTF, who is is from?" until they actually read the email.

The device may not die, but localized users might:

I still reply from the original account, the 4 are directed to MobileMe so they are pushed to the phone, thats all.

iPhone sucks! It's so hard and cumbersome to type an email on their touch screen or typing anything for that matter without making tonnes of mistakes. Sorry Apple....I'm sticking with Blackberry. I still will use my iPod Touch for my music and video's tho.

No possible way. Did you know that iPhone was offered to Verizon first and they turned it down? Imagine having to send your phone back to the company because the battery is sealed inside. DUH

I know my personal take on the iPhone is that the typing on it sucks big time. I have an iTouch and I have a few emails set up on there that I can use while on wifi. If I get an email on the itouch, I will guaranteed reply either on my BB or on the computer. If I get an email with pics or just wanna browse my emails, than yeah the touch works great but typing sucks! I know people say it takes getting used to and all the other BS excuses for it but I have typed plenty of emails on the touch. I can't stand misspelling every other word and having to go back and type it over again, just to have the touch tell me what word I wanted there instead of the other way around. For example the word "hell" Ten times out of ten "hell" becomes "he'll" and it takes me two or three times to get it right. I love the autotext on the BB so I can type "hel" or "shel" and they'll be come "He'll" and "she'll" As soon as you learn a few of the shortcut autotext or create your own, you can bang out an email with no errors in probably 1/3 of the time it would take on an iPhone.

And no cut and paste and mms completely kills any thoughts of an iPhone for me.

Can you take video on iPhones? I have been doing it on my curve for about 4 months now.

IPhone's MobileMe will challenge BlackBerry. It is BlackBerry MiniMe.

I will be ignoring all these first day issues. Nobody's perfect. If they were sitting in emply Apple stores with unsold iPhones and very responsive activation Web site that would have been worse for them.

Yet, BlackBerry is far from dead. Competition is good. We all win.

Default Real Question

Will the at&t network be able to handle the extra bandwidth demands or will they pull a fast one and start charging the hell out of you for actually using the iPhony 2. This is the real question. The browser on the RIM devices is crappy enough to limit downloading large files. The browser on the iPhony does not have that built in limitation and it will be interesting to see how the network holds up.

That is my opinion and you are entitled to yours.
