JSanders... Do I need to get the BIS plan before doing this? I went through the whole process, got all the media net icons, ATT stuff, etc... and as SOON as I got reception, it all disappeared. I was gonna get the BIS plan tomorrow and then just be ready to roll... But it still kicks my AT&T stuff off after the first button click or touch stroke.

Yes, I think I've said that a couple times. You canNOT even complete the steps of the instructions (sending the ATT service books from your BIS login site UNLESS you have a BIS account.

So, yes absolutely.

Default PLease someone help me

OK so I'm really tryin to find some help. I'm not into the cell phone technology much so I don't know a whole lot. But let me tell you my situation and I'm hoping someone can help out. I got a Storm that is unlocked already but my internet and mms doesn't work. I saw the directions that are stickied but it was a little difficult for me to follow. Could someone just post me a link to dload the newest OS? So i can try to get this process started?

Change your setting from 3g to 2g and also it's in the threads - I read thru it last night and I'm good when working on the 9550

It shouldn't do that. I've never seen that happen on each battery pull reset.

Perhaps the OS upgrade would help. I've seen an OS upgrade I didn't try, at least once!

yes with mine I lose my Blackberry Internet Service Browser after a battery pull. I need to repeat this procedure each time!

The Wifi Browser stays but not the other one that we need for web and downloads.

Its a pisser

Set the other to Browser > Options > Browser Configuration - Internet Browser

See if that helps to retain showing your browser icon when you reboot.

We;re on TWO different subjects/screens here. Get off the Options > Advanced screen, and open your Browser.

Then press the Menu key.

Then select Options.

Then select Browser Configuration.

Then on the top line, what does it say? (earlier you said it was on Media Net).

Now, set THAT to Internet Browser.

1. You need an absolutely good unlock code. ONLY purchase the unlock code from a reputable and trustworthy unlocking vendor. I only recommend Horizon Wireless. I know there are other trustworthy unlocking services... but as you have found out, there are some who are not.

2. Follow these instructions to enter the CORRECT code
Quote:
Blackberry Storm1 and Storm2 (9500, 9520, 9530, 9550) Unlock Code Entry Instructions

1. Turn off all of the wireless connections (manage connections - turn all connections off)
2. Go to the Options icon on the device
3. Select Advanced Options
4. Select SIM Card
5. Hit the Menu key to select Show Keyboard
6. Enter mepd (you will not be able to see the typed info)(enter just the mepd, no spaces, etc.)
7. Enter the letters: mep2
8. Now it will say enter network mep code
9. Enter the code given you, usually about 16 digits
10. Your Storm is now unlocked.

3. Now, after your tenth bad entry, the device will lock to the branded carrier and ONLY by sending the device back to RIM in Canada can it be factory unlocked.

Be careful!
