When I got my Curve a couple of years ago I picked up a nice scratch on the screen before I could put on a screen protector. Someone on this forum suggested using Meguires Plastx to buff out the scratch and it worked great. It is formulated to work on car headlamps.

I love my new Storm2 but the screen really gets smudged up very quickly. I'm waiting for a Seidio Innocase but they won't be available for a few more weeks. I applied a coat of the Meguires Plastx this morning and it really polished the screen nicely. Finger prints will still show up but not as bad as before. So if you don't want to use one of those plastic screen protectors, this stuff will make your Storm look good and offer a little protection too. Here is a link:

After the 9530 and now the 9520, I have decided these touchscreens are almost impervious to scratches. My year old 9530 has none.

Don't need it on the Storm.

I have been literally anal about screen protectors on ALL of my Blackberrys in the past, except these Storms. A screen protector really isn't needed.

Of course, if you carry it in your pocket or purse with keys and crap, yep, a protector would be highly advised.

The thing I've noticed is that after applying the wax coating on the screen you're finger slides around a lot easier.

I just tried this product and wow - its great.

It cleans, shines, protects and totally hides finger prints.

I've used carnuba car wax with an without screen protectors on my Storm. Once a month is usually best and there are relatively no fingerprint issues. The screen will let you know when its time for another application. Usually 3-4 weeks after an application. Just take care near the edges.

Additionally. I am screen protector free now and the screen is resistant to scratches. Resistant but not imprevious. I have a small scratch mid screen. I have no idea how it got there but its definitely there and permanent. I am sure it was some metallic and jagged edged item that caused it.
