Default Pearl as just Stand alone phone?

Please Login to Remove!

I have been using the pearl at work, but my wife wants one, and I like the interface, but she won't be using any data service. Besides getting the "data service rejected", is there any problem with just running the pearl as a stand alone phone?

No theres nothing wrong with just the phone mode, in fact when iphone comes out im going, to turn it off and giving it to wife.she only texts me. hopefully iphone will be unlocked in two week or sooner when its released. and who cares about video messaging.

Nothing wrong with it at all...

Im a pearl "data-free" user ( makes me sound cool in my mind ) Only downside is not able to send MMS messages ( picture messages)

You can remove the "Data Connection Refused" by:

Options --> Network --> Data Services Off...

Don't forget that she will still be able to use the phone's camera, and play movies and music. That's a lot for "just a phone."
