Default Convince me to like the 7130 :)

Long story short, was in the market for a new phone, ended up upgrading to the 7130. As I'm left-handed, I found the scroll-wheel to be very difficult to use. The data plans are not fun for a personal user, and I was very disappointed to see a lack of certain features that I was really looking for, ie: picture ID for callers(and I dont want to shell out $30 just for that). However, in testing it I used 33 minutes of airtime, and apparently the store I bought it from had a return policy that stated they won't take it back if you use 30 minutes or more airtime, so those extra 3 minutes have left me stuck with it

So now I'm stuck with it, I may as well try and be as positive as I can about it, so I was just wondering if any 7130 previous/current owners would be able to "sell" it to me, to make me pleased that I own it heh.

I personally like my 7130e due to the fact that it's the same size as a Treo, minus the antenna and not as big as the other BB's. The best part is that it syncs with Outlook which makes it sooo much easier to switch to this phone. My problem when I used to switch phones is that it took forever to add my entire address book, now it's much easier to add/modify.

Bluetooth is cool but I don't really use it. If I had a bigger BB then i'd most likely use a headset but because mine looks like a phone i don't have to feel like i'm putting a piece of toast next to my ear which is how i felt with the 8700.

IF your left handed and IF you drive (most likely with your left hand) then maybe it isn't a bad idea to learn to use your BB with your right hand?? JMO.

I know that, but if he doesn't like it, he should get a new eBay it.

I have to say that I'm really liking my 7130. I'm a big Palm user and tried out the Treo 700P, but my company doesn't have a push email server for the Palm OS. Our IT department recommended a BB and I reluctantly went with the 7130. Since then, I haven't looked back - it's a great device.

It syncs flawlessly with our BES and I receive all my home email via the BIS. It took a little getting used to and there are still some things my trusty Palm TX does better, but now I'm generally using only one device (the 7130) for phone, email, calendar, and address book and using the TX for my checkbook. Pretty expensive checkbook, huh?

Anyway, my point is, stick with a little longer. It took me about a week to get comfortable with it, but I'm glad I stuck it out.

if you go out and try treos, ppc's, and the wider black berries... I would suggest you dont even waste your time. The 7130 is a nice consumer / commercial mix, I had a 6700PPC and havnt looked back, who wants to hard reset once a week? Also batterie time is a joke. Treos syncing is horrible, gross interface aswell.

Manything brought me to bb, STABILTY was the biggest. I cant afford even as a 20 year old college studernt to have my phone crash or my calender not sync. For get that paper that is due on friday thats 25% my grade i think not.

Any ways... Talk to people about the problems of the other phones you could of got. Im sure you will in the light of things reallise your just being VERY picky about some features.

I love my 7130.
