Google+ is in it's beta mode, and aside from the fact it keeps sending me to the mobile site (you can change to desktop at the bottom), it looks pretty slick. Works at least as well as FB.

They offer some type of video chat (wanted to try it out on the PB), but the option looks unselectable for now.

The only downside is that you must register for Goolge+ on a desktop/laptop, then you can use your PB to log in. They also have an Apple and Android app. Blackberries running OS 6.0 can use the web interface. Hopefully they come out with an app for Blackberry, but if not, it works just as well via browser.

any ideas why exactly gmail defaults to the mobile site on the browser?

With the Playbook?

You have to register from a desktop/laptop then you can access the site mobile/desktop version as you like.

Once you login, and it goes to the [m.] site, scroll to the bottom of the page and select 'Desktop', after that, you can either create a bookmark.

yeah that part is done. im just talking about gmail on the pb browser in general.

I think Google + looks great, better in my opinion comparing it to facebook. I just got my invite yesterday so I'm still trying things out.

If you are viewing G+ on the PB in desktop mode, and you try to drag and drop a contact into another of the circles, or try to invite someone, the browser sometimes crashes.

Probably why they keep forcing the [m.] version.
