Unhappy HTML email on BES 4.1.6

Please Login to Remove!

Hi guys,

we are running a BES 4.1.1 on Domino 7 server. i have around 60 users with a mix of devices (bold, storm, curve 8310, curve 8320, and 8707v... with a different os as well ) anyway, last 2 weeks, there was a requirement from the management to get our e-leave system to be working on blackberrry. they have this link "Click here to approve" which is a html link.

on the 4.1.1 where the html email support was not there yet, the link seems to be a plain text. from my readings, i need to be at least 4.1.6 to ensure i get the html mail supported. therefore i have planned an upgrade plan. firstly, ive upgraded to BES 4.1.3. a yesterday about a week after upgrade to 4.1.3, i manage to get the BES 4.1.6 running.

unfortunately, it couldnt solve my problem. the users which is running on os 4.5 and above (bold and storm) still not getting the html email. it is still a text.

on the "Click here to approve" still not clickable but there is the clickable ugly full link besides it (which is suppose to hide from the users).. on the device, in the Email Settings, ive set html email as Yes.. is there any other settings that i need to turn on on the server side? any suggestion is highly appreciated. thanks a million

There is a setting in BES to enable rich content

Been a while since I ticked it.

Open your BlackBerry Manager.... Select your BES server on the left .... then select the Server Configuration tab in the top middle.... Then on the right select Edit Properties.... in the new Window Select Messaging.... On the right under Messaging Options 'Rich Content Enabled = True"

Then you are all set

Edit: I think you need to set "Inline Image Enabled = True" also, but I an not certain.

This is also set in the UserConfig table - this should have been ticked on for you when you upgraded however.
