Hi newbie here, looks like a great forums with lots of info...

Here's the situation we tried to upgrade to bes 4 from 3.6, total chaos!! We are now in process of trying to fix that but since our users bb's service have been temp disabled we need a tempo solution. I wanted to move anyone to desktop redirector instead of BES. Uninstalled BB desktop redirector, deleted all files and registry keys, reinstalled and now desktop redirector still says **Servername(Running)...insted of just running, so its still looking for the servers! How can I fix it so that the desktop redirector sends the emails?

delete Desktop [] service books from the handheld. reinitialize with desktop software.

So delete the desktop service books, then reinitialize with desktop software?
umm what do you mean by reinitialize?

remove redirector and reinstall?

hook the handheld up to the computer. the Desktop [] service books will be on the handheld under Settings/Options. if you've already uninstalled Desktop Manager and reinstalled for Desktop Redirector, you should be good on that front.
