I've updated to this when it came out... So far, I think this is the best one! I haven't come across any problems so far...

There isn't really anymore memory leak... Sometimes it even goes back up! And my battery actually last me more than a day!

I have .167 running on my Bold for couple of days. Really a better and a stable version than .162.

Gonna keep it on my bold till the new release.

tamazoid,

I'm with you there. like sticking with official one's from RIM. Just scared on BETA's, if .167 is good as many have mentioned, it'll be a matter of time until a carrier releases it officially. Can't wait!!! :D

3 things:

1: When are RIM going to provide decent download servers? 48k/sec on a 30mbit line is pathetic
2: When are they going to update Docs2Go to v1.2 so that it doesn't need updating each time we upgrade the firmware?
3: When will they find a way to remember BES activation so I don't have to keep reactivating it? The backup does pretty much everything else now, just this last thing and it would be perfect.

Hi,

I have the 9000 supplied by Vodafone UK with the following OS:

Applications: 4.6.0.126
Platform: 4.0.0.135

I would like to upgrade to this new version but Vodafone do not provide this from their website; the version I have installed is the latest they provide. If I upgraded to this latest version, would it incur any issues with my BB in being contracted to Vodafone UK?

Thanks,

Richard.

Hi,

under Settings -> Info in the third line there stands:
v4.6.0.162 (Plattform 4.0.0.155)

Has anybody this problem?
I installed the linked firmware (at least I think so).

HELP

Default Wierd Problem with .162

The left convenience key doesn't work very well with .162. You have to push it several times. It seemed at first that it is a hardware problem but if I reboot the BB, it works perfectly for a few hours then reverts to this behavior. Anyone else notice this? I didn't notice this behavior with any previous version. I guess it still could be a h/w problem but it seems weird. Thanks.

Good way to get tossed, also.

I upgraded without issue earlier today, but there is one minor thing that's a little off and it seems to be my battery life status. On the home screen, I have full bars however ... when I go into my status, I am at 90% and dropping (was at 95% a couple hours ago) ... what's the deal? :( What is my true battery life?

I'm seeing this as well, noticed it this morning when the phone had been idle all day yesterday and this morning still showed full bars when status said 90%

I'm wondering if the gauge calibration is off with this release?

Noticed that the whole "white space above previous SMS when you are replying" has gone. Thank god. Good to see the more useful threading back again

After being charged for a few hours, this issue seems to have fixed itself for now. We'll see how it goes throughout the day.
