they will likely only email you back saying you need to call them anyway.
they dont like giving such things out over email.

I've had Tmobile and requested unlock codes for a handful of phones we've had throughout the years. Depending on phone it can take them from half a day to a week to get back to you with an unlock code.
If you got the confirmation email, you should be okay -- just be patient and wait. If it still doesn't come, either try calling them (611 from your cell phone) or submitting another request.
With all my phones and their unlock codes, Tmobile has sent an email with the code and instructions on how to unlock it.

There's been exponential growth in BB unit sales so they may be getting a little behind on the volume. I've gotten codes in about 24 hours on 2 phones. But last one was over a year ago. Unit volume since then is not quite double, but pretty close.

I've gotten codes from TMO by the next day, and others after a full week of waiting. Sometimes you have to keep on them about it. Stuff like this gets easily lost in their internal paper shuffle. They have little incentive to provide the codes other than their policy and any laws that mandate it. Free unlock codes = low priority.
