The trackball on my Tour fizzled out and stopped working. So I want to transfer all my data to another identical Tour (my girlfriend's old phone).

I tried it once, but it still had her settings. What do I need to do here?

What did you do?

I don't know that you need to wipe the device before using the switch device wizard in desktop manager, but it will not hurt to do a security wipe first.

Yeah, but I mean what cards need transferred, what settings need adjusted so that the replacement BB is identical to mine w/ the broken trackball?

Use Desktop Manager and the Switch Devices Wizard. This will back up all your data and your settings. Then swap your microSD card from old Tour to new Tour. Once you have that done, make sure you have the new one registered with Verizon through their BIS portal.

You did not describe what you did and exactly what did not work the way you expected.

The switch device wizard should duplicate your setup on Tour #2 same as on Tour #1. Maybe something will not work perfectly, and that you will need to det manually.

Then you need to wipe it first.
