You should be able to search your \Program Files\Common Files to find the vendor.xml. It's in the Research In Motion\AppLoader directory.

Default Cannot remove BB Messenger

I noticed that with this particular build, you do not have the option to uninstall or delete BB Messenger from memory. (We don't use it at my company.)

Cheers,
Rob

It seems like the battery life isn't that good on this build either.

If you are on x64 it will be under the program files (x86) directory.

So far so good?!! You don't consider losing 3G connectivity on a 3G enabled handset a major issue?

Default Be careful about 3rd Party Apps on 5.0

I have no loss of functionality and my battery life is excellent. Not sure why some phones are having problems. Very strange.

Just in case, be sure you REMOVE any third party applications on the phone before upgrading to 5.0. Not all apps for 4.x are compatible and can wreak havoc by making the OS very unstable.

On my Bold, this OS runs very well, but I lost about 10MB application memory within 2 days.

And the BB Messenger must be installed, as previously mentioned.

Horrible? Horrible is a great word for what it actually is.

Nothing running on the unit and my battery life drops to 25% within 3 hours. I have tried everything from soft reboots to battery pulls and nothing makes a difference.

If I use a bluetooth headset at all, I can literally see the battery draining.

I think I am going to look at going back to 4.6 and finding a threaded SMS application, because that is really the only thing I will miss relating to the 5.0 OS.

Wow. I'm amazed at how this differs for so many people, although the way we use our phones appears to be different. I do not talk a lot on mine, so my battery lasts most of the day. If I turn on my Wi-Fi it will drain quickly as well. I'm guessing having bluetooth on for extended periods will also drain faster.

Overall, I like the improvements in the OS. Hopefully they can fix whatever battery issues still plague the release.

Over at Crackberry, the feedback seems overall positive.

Ok ok ok...I really need some feedback here!

I am with os v5.0.0.860 and having problems in slow GPS discovering, not at all modem functionality (with both USB and Bluetooth connections), and I am unable to open and read old saved SMS!!!

Is this happening with this last os version????

I'm good on my Bold 9000. Don't have any of these issues.
