Hey,

I just got a message from T-mobile of the following contents:

Free Msg from T-Mobile: By 3/8/08 go to Unsupported Browser from your pc to get software for your Pearl 8100 (includeds a Daylight Savings patch)

I ussually get these type of messages a bit after a new update, however I got one already for 4.2.1.107 not long after it came out. It's interesting that it says "by 3/8/08" as I don't remember these messages saying dates before. I don't know if it necessarily means anything, but hopefully this means that 4.3 should soon be available (or 4.5?). There isn't anything new on the bbupgrade page yet.

Feel free to correct me if my assumptions are entirely off base.

not sure its off base or what is going on, but the fact that it says by 3/8 would imply they are going to remove that software but that doesnt necessary mean they will be releasing 4.5 then.

I just called TMO for the heck of it. I have not received the message...she wanted to see it. She had not heard anything about it yet, but hinted that it must be a new OS upgrade and when I was explaining that it was eagerly being anticipated with a lot of new changes she agreed but seemed hesitant to reveal what she knew. I asked if she knew the version and she went away and came back and said she didn't have any info yet.

Told me to check back on that date.

4.3 would be nice though! And it seems to be close to the date of the supposed 8820/8120 release date

Hate to burst the bubble but 03/08/08 is the last day before daylight savings. They want to make sure you have the DST patch before the 9th or you may be running an hour behind.

Yup I go the the same message at 4 this afternoon. Wonder if its a hint of what to come, or they are just trying to get everybody to update their berrys to fix problems?

I still have yet to get this tmobile message though...
It's not like I don't have 4.2.1.107, but I'd like a little notification from them, just so I could feel like I'm in the "in crowd"!
