Are you trying to download or install? Looks like you're using Vista (<<shudder>>)

For Vista I believe you need to run as administrator to install DM.

When you download the file you should have the option to 'open' or 'save'. Which one are you clicking?

I still say these vista errors have something to do with the Windows Installer?

This issue seems to be cropping up more and more often with DM and Vista with no definitive resolution.

Does the version you are loading have the Roxio Media Manager?

Do Save and save it to your PC (like the Desktop). Then someone who actually knows Vista will have to tell you how to install as the admin account. I am not sure how that works with Vista (I hate Vista).

I dont think so. It wont let me install Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0. It says the 64 bit wont support it.

There is no version of Desktop Manager that works with a MAC.

So you have a 64 bit machine? That might be the problem.

This is why I asked if it is a 64 bit system.

I searched the Blackberry support and this is all I found about Error 1935.

That refers to DM 4.2 on XP, but it may have the answer.

There is a startup item present in Microsoft Windows XP that is preventing the installation of BlackBerry Desktop Software from proceeding.
Is the PC running an antivirus program? If so, I'd try disabling it just long enough to do the install. If that doesn't help, then follow the rest of these instructions:

Quote:
Resolution
To resolve this issue, disable the Microsoft Windows XP startup items. To perform this, complete the following steps:

Note: If BlackBerry Desktop Software is currently installed, perform a clean uninstall of the software before proceeding. For instructions, see KB02206.

On the computer, click Start > Run.
Type msconfig and click OK. The System Configuration Utility opens.
On the General tab, select the Selective Startup radio button.
Remove the checkmark from the box labeled Load Startup Items, and click OK.
Restart the computer, and attempt to install BlackBerry Desktop Software again.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Workaround
If using a computer that is running Vista with all non-Microsoft Services disabled and Selective startup with Load Startup items unchecked and the above steps do not resolve the issue, the following may be performed as a workaround:

On the computer, click Start > All Programs > Accessories.
Right-click Command prompt and choose Run as Administrator.
Type fsutil resource setautoreset true c:\ and press ENTER. A message indicating that the operation completed successfully should be displayed.
Restart the computer and reinstall BlackBerry Desktop Manager.

Roxio requires .NET 2.0, I believe, not Desktop Manager without Roxio.

This version of .NET 2.0 appears to be for 32 bit and 64 bit systems.

Similair article with a little more detailed info:

You may receive an xxx34;Error 1935xxx34; error message when you use the Netfx.msi Windows Installer package to install the .NET Framework 1.1

Also seems to be a recently updated...
