I would also like to know the answer to this as I'm in the same boat. Rogers is selling the 7290 for $50 on a 3 year contract. Bell is actually giving them away for free on a three year.

Smile BB7290 Opera Mini + Rogers payGO

I have downloaded Opera mini beta 4
Installed on the BB, shows up in the list of apps
Have set all the permissions for opera to allow
Under TCP have changed APN internet.com

as suggested by Opera forum the following
Username for APN wapuser1
Password for APN wap

No Idea how to make opera mini run seems to be no Icon etc

Rogers has no Idea about 3rd party software
Have come this far hope some one can help the rest of the way
regards
Gerry

Data connection refused displayed on main screen
Is this related to BB push e-mail or do you have to have a data connection to use opera mini???

Opera and Gmail. SMS and Phone is all I need.

Now if I could only get Rogers to send me the email to SMS rather then that READ thing. On Pay as you go. Sad thing is I work for Rogers.
