Purchased a 2gb SanDisk card yesterday and when I try to format the card in the phone the phone reboots. (the error says "Device Error") I can format the card in my PC with success but not the phone. The phone reads the card fine after the PC formats the card. Has anyone experience this?

I didn't have to format my card. Just popped it in and used it. Unfortunetely, I have too much stuff on there to try a format now.

The card works fine in my phone when formatted on the PC. I just cannot format the card on the phone. It just reboots the phone. Interesting...

I have the same problem - just bought the 2gb sandisk and installed in my 8830. The BB says the card isn't formated so I format it, it says it is successful formatting the card, but when I go back into Options->Media Card the message is "Media card cannot be read. Verify that the memory card is formatted."

Has anyone tried using a 4gb card in the 8800?
I know the product spec says it'll support up to 2gb, but very often devices that support 2gb will work fine with bigger cards ...

So, before I buy one - anyone tried it?
