Hi All,
Just traded in my Iphone for a BB 9000 a couple days ago and so far so good. However Im having two issues that are really causing me issues.

The first is the 9000 won't charge while im talking on it, it will at first, it shows the lighting bolt thing but after about 15 mins it goes away, and the only way I can get it to charge again is to take the back battery off.

My second question is there anyway to change the alert of an email/text while talkng on the phone I have them set to alert while talking but it is the faintest little beep, I need to be able to hear it perferrably the same noise when Im not talking.

Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks in Advance

So, to be clear: The blackberry will charge, just not when you are holding it and using the phone? At least, what you notice is the icon shows it not charging.

Should it be charging? For certain it is not fully charged, and therefore has stopped charging?

You say it will charge if you remove, what? The batter cover? Is this anytime, or just when you've been holding it and using the phone?

Could it be a temperature issue, I wonder?

I'll try to describe the situation a little better. If Im not talking on the phone the phone charges fine, there are no problems unless I just was talking on the phone while trying to charge the battery.

My typically situation is this, Im working at my desk talking on a bluetooth. I noticed the battery is running low, and I plugged the phone in while I am still talking. Everything looked ok and it seemed to be charging, however when I look at it 15 minutes later it wasn't charging anymore. So i hung up the phone and attemted to plug in in, it wouldn't charge. Turned the phone off and plugged it in and wouldn't charged.

So I removed the back cover and battery, and plugged it in and it charges fine. Ive had to do this about 5 times in 2 days. Hope that describes the situation. The phone does get quite warm, warmer than any phone Ive every owned not sure if this is common with blac berrys since this is my first.

Removing the battery is a hard reset. If something software-related has caused the chargeing function to hang up -- and I don't even know if it is a possibility that this could be the case -- then the the battery pull would fix it until it gets hung up again for whatever the reason is. Or, it could be temperature, or at least it seems to me a possibility.

I guess one thing I would try if it were me is see if charging resumes after the blackberry has had a chance to cool down, without doing the hard reset.

But you should search the forum and see if anyone else has experienced this. I don't know.
