I'm due for an upgrade, & I'm thinking the white 9700 is the look of the season. However, my friend has the white 9000 and she says it gets dirty on the back after extended use.

Is it enough of a reason to go w/ the black version? What do you guys think?

My suggestion would be to stick with black but if you must have white, try buying a skin for your bb like below:

It's white. It'll get dirty. That's what white things do.

I have seen a few that didn't look so clean. It isn't a matter of the person using the phone having bad hygiene. It is a white phone. The battery cover gets a little dirty. It still looks good.

You could probably clean it with a very slightly damp cloth. Of course remove the battery cover and don't get the cloth near the phone itself.

to be honest i would say get the black, that's the one I have got. the white will definitely get dirty if you where jeans a lot, and don't worry about not being different..... it's a PHONE. hope i helped.

White will show dirt more but black will show scuffs and scratches. Buy a clear case!
