I understand that when I set up a new device the information that is folders will not carry over. I have a user that has a new Bold device, we ran a manual back up, and now they can search back up to 5 months of emails that are in their MS Outlook folders, how can this be? Does a manual back up of a blackberry back up the folders?

?? why would the folders not carry over? aslong as the folder redirection were in place all folder in outlook will replicate down.

Are these messages showing on his device when he goes into view folder and selects the folder?

Or is he doing a search of his mailbox, by going to messages > Search > Search type = Remote, Folder = All folders?
