Given the fact that BlackBerry Professional Software is brand new and I bet a few people are jumping on the bandwagon to go from SBE to BPS, I figured I'd post this KB from RIM ... haven't tried this myself though so I don't know of the problem mentioned.

KB14842 - Migrating BlackBerry Enterprise Server for Microsoft Exchange 4.1.4 Small Business Edition to BlackBerry Professional Software 4.1.4 results in failure to install Dispatcher and Router services

The solution is to Uninstall and then reinstall BlackBerry Professional Software 4.1.4.

Yup, we just ran into this.

Even though people at AT&T and RIM said the upgrade should be a snap. Which it was, but after the upgrade, those services were missing.

This is what I feared. I've not tested this yet but from what I've heard going from SBS to BPS does not raise the CAL limit from 15 to 30, and if this is the case there is clearly no point in running the upgrade.
