I know the towers still standing since I just drove right by the thing. I didn't see any trucks around it or work crews so I don't understand what the problem is. It's not a tower issue that I can tell at least.
I know when it comes up for me, I'll know right away with a couple hundred emails from people wanting to know what's going on and why they aren't getting their emails. Guess I should put it on the charger so it's fully charged when that happens.
Everyones concerns about downed services appears to be a minor issue.
I understand that with technology, network problems are the inevitable at some point.
I seem to be the only user on an international conference call that's been
interupted causing the loss of a client stock purchase in access of $300K as
markets open Monday morning.
AT&T Corporate Care. They said the main switch facility for the midwest market is down, thus the outages.
Still no ETA on when it will be up. the guy that I spoke with on the phone said that around 4:11am EST, a bunch of towers went down and the ETA at the time was 6hr's to repair, obviously they are still down and still no ETA on when they will be back up again.
My curve has been stuck on SOS service since around 10:00 a.m. Michigan time...I called At&T about half hour ago...they said towers are down in Michigan, Ohio, Illinois, Indiana, N & S Dakota. "SHOULD" be back up tonight or maybe tomorrow they said. Make sure you call and get a credit on your bill.
I don't have a blackberry. Unfortunately I have the extreme displeasure of owning a trendy iPhone. Mine has been out as well. I don't think it's just blackberry. I've contacted AT&T and they said that they are having problems in Michigan. Which, in my opinion, is complete bullshit. I seriously need my phone. We all pay these hefty bills for what? I hope they get this resolved as soon as possible in a TIMELY manner.
I'm actually enjoying the downtime on my part right now. On the other hand my Exec's are going nuts because they can't make calls or get them. They can at least login to the VPN and use their Outlook or use Webmail so that's keeping them happy for the most part since I sent them the last update.
