Question T-Mobile 8100 Pearl on Cingular?

Please Login to Remove!

I really want to get the pearl, I went down and played with it the other night and I have to admit its pretty sweet for those who want life and work mixed well and willing to deal with the suretype keypad.

My only concern is a few questions if I buy the Tmobile 8100 and get it unlocked (which can be done) will the following have any issues on a cingular network:

1. I am pretty sure that BES will work with an unlocked pearl under cingular
as that requires the IMEI number correct?

2. While I want to get BES can I use cingular's enterprise email by just
providing them with the IMEI and signing up for the service with an unlcoked
pearl from tmobile?

3. will the tmobile IM client work over a cingular network?

4. last but not least, have you heard about any issues with unlocked pearls
on cingular network?

If anyone else has done this it would be great to hear your thoughts and if anything doesn't work and what issues you run into.

Seems the cingular version may be pushtalk or may not include camera and I don't want to wait to find out and I do not want to switch to Tmobile.

Thanks in advance.

1. works fine
2. you mean cingular BIS? works fine too.
3. never tried
4. no issues except for me being on cing network means I actually have a signal in my house, as opposed to tmo where I don't. and with cing, good luck getting mms to work, but I could care less about that.

can I bug you to try the IM client and see if it works on the network?

I take it you paid the retail from tmo right?

As far as MMS have you tried switcing the network settings [email address] and CINGULAR1? I think there are other settings too. I can grab them off my 8125.
