Hi i just bought an unlocked blackberry that was originally from bell. I would like to use it on the telus network. The problem i am having is that i cannot connect to the telus network. when i go to mobile network i can only find the bell network and the rogers network. Any help would be great!

You can't use a 9530 from Bell on Telus.

That device is a CDMA/GSM device. You can only "unlock" the GSM side. The CDMA side cannot be "unlocked".

Bell and Telus use CDMA and HSPA.

CDMA carriers will not generally allow devices from other networks to be activated on their network.

There's no way around it. You need to get a device that is compatible.

The problem is that although the technology is compatible, all CDMA carriers have agreed to only activate their own devices on their network. They simply won't activate anybody else's mobiles. So the phones are not even locked.
