LifeTime. It's a special they are running.

Does anyone know if they let you download the Cod/ALX files upon purchase or is this just OTA?

If you already have the basic version installed on your device (it came with the 4.6.1 OS on my 8900) then the upgrade to premium is just an activation code that unlocks the additional features of what's already installed.

I used the promo and activated Docs To Go Premium by entering the activation code through the basic version. It activated the Premium features, but it didn't install the PDF To Go program. You need to click on the link in the order email they from your BlackBerry and OTA install the PDF To Go program. You don't need to download the entire package again.

BTW, they make you buy the download insurance for $2.99. You can't delete it from the order. It allows you to redownload the program(s) 25 times.

I like downloading files I buy online and back them up on a separate hard drive or DVD. But, the links are OTA install files. I guess the only way to backup these files is to do the convoluted third-party backup method for the BB.

If I read it correctly you can only download it 25 times within a year, I don't know what happens after that year.

No, your posts were ok. There was a post last night from someone else asking for an activation code. It has been deleted.

Regarding the download insurance: Yes, I forgot to mention that it is only good for a year. After that, I think you can buy more insurance for $3.99 to allow 25 more downloads per year.

The promo email only works with your registration code, so even if I were to forward my email it wouldn't get you the 29.99 price.

My boss got his email 2 weeks ago so they might be doing a batch at a time, you'll probably get one soon enough.

Is there a web page that shows the difference between standard and premium of Docs2Go?

Thanks

I've been looking for awhile now - I think $30 is the perfect pricepoint for this software.

In your first post you said the registration code was different. Did it work? I still haven't got an email - I really want to buy it just wouldn't pay more than $30.

Sorry about that, My boss get his $29.99 promo a couple days before me, he forwarded his email to me.. I tried to use him email but the link in the email was specific to his registration code so I couldn't use it.. but I ended up getting the same email a few days later so it looks like Dataviz is sending out this email to a small group of people at any giving time.

They are probably just testing the market see how long they can go without losing too much profit.. because 70 bucks is pretty steep.
