When disabling the ' Dial from homescreen" , you can press M for messages and then C for compose, but it always compase an email, using the default email address.
Is there any shortcut ( a letter or 2 may be) from the homescreen to start composing SMS ?

There was a program outr dont recall where i found it that made q a short cut for sms Ill look around and see what i can find

because the earlier bbs werent capable of it. and its an email device before anything else.
