Default [SRP] Dispatcher\SRP Connection dropped

Please Login to Remove!

Dear all,

I am having big problems with our BES 5.0 (MR3), I hope someone has had similar issues, because I have been searching the internet for days until now without finding a solution.

My major problem is, that activating a blackberry device takes about 12 hours (before, we were using Professional software and this took about 30 minutes). Furthermore sending an e-mail from the device only succeeds every third try as well as using the blackberry browser runs on error most tries (the providers browser works well...).

I guess this is because of our SRP-connection is instable and I cannot find a solution for this: In the windows-event-log (as well as in the DISP-Log) the Blackberry Dispatcher tells me with event-id 50096 "Connection established". 10 seconds later I get event-id 50097 "Connection dropped, Error=0, Reason=3 Other connection authenticated".

The DISP-Log says the following:
[50096] (11/04 00:04:50.768):{0xC7C} [SRP] Dispatcher\SRP Connection established
[30000] (11/04 00:05:07.939):{0xC78} [SRP] Received SRP Disconnect command reason=3 NewConnectionReceivedLastConnectionWins
[30000] (11/04 00:05:07.939):{0x1A1C} [DIAG] EVENT=Unregister_thread, THREADID=0x1A1C, THREADNAME="SRPClientReceiver"
[50097] (11/04 00:05:07.939):{0xC7C} [SRP] Dispatcher\SRP Connection dropped, Error=0, Reason=3 Other connection authenticated
[30490] (11/04 00:05:07.939):{0xC7C} Health score: Health=0x000000073310150F
[30000] (11/04 00:05:07.939):{0xC7C} [SRP] Connection lost

We are running one single BES on a dedicated server (no second or Standby-instances), the "test connection"-button in the configuration manager tells me everything is fine, the BBSrpTest.exe-util too.

Has anybody an idea?

Greetings,
Jens

Dear all,

problem is solved - looks like my SRP is being used by someone else too.

Greetings,

Default Same Issue

I'm having the exact same issue. I'm getting SRP connection drop and reconnect every 30secs. And sending e-mails will not go at one try. Sometimes it will go in 3 tries.

So what else was using SRP for you?

did you find that it was someone that knew your SRP or was it outside your company?? The idea that RIM gave the SRP to two customer is not likely at all and so I can only think that someone compromised your SRP. You didn't buy it off ebay did you??

Dear achandra,
when we upgraded from Blackberry Professional Software to Blackberry Enterprise Server, our service partner gave me a new SRP as well as a CAL key. I thought they would only work together, what is why I used the new SRP (where this SRP came from, I do not know until now).
When facing the problem explained above, I tried our "old" SRP (sent to me when downloading the BPS from RIM-site) and the problem was solved.

Dear besadmin23,
as explained, the second SRP was given to me by mail - I was new to blackberry servers and thought this was a kind of product key too. In my opinion it makes no sense to sell SRPs to newbies like me at ebay - the CAL keys would be much more interesting?!

Greetings,
jgaedeke
