Default 7130c for $267 shipped via eBay

Please Login to Remove!

I just purchased a brand new 7130c on eBay for $267 shipped. I was not eligible for an upgrade, so I had to purchase outright. Seller express mailed it today, to be here on Friday. So..........did I get a decent deal, or did I pay too muc?

For a little history, I have been through 3 Razrs, 1 Treo 650 and the lastest is a Sony w600i, which I'm selling on eBay now.

Thanks!

Doesn't sound like a bad deal at all! Enjoy when it arrives and welcome to the cult!

Seems like a good deal. Without a new contract the 7130c is $349. I believe you also get a $50 mail in rebate which brings it to $300. You still have a good deal. Let us know how you like the new phone.

I lucked out...I got mine via amazon for $99.00

It went down $25.00 since I bought mine, but it includes a contract.

Outside a contract though, you got a good deal.

Thanks, gang, for the replies. I started trying to decide which BB to get and it didn't take me very long to choose the 7130c. I had narrowed it down to this and the 8700, but due to size AND functionality, I think I'll be pretty pleased.

Will report back when it arrives.

Thanks!

Hello,
New 7130c user here. Not very much Impressed, guess I will go back to cingular and try out the 8700. Only nice thing so far is, that I can forward my e-mails to that little thing and know what is going on when im not at the PC. Otherwise I had no luck to even download ringtones I wanted. Always getting the 404 error.
Downloaded a them ok, but thats all. I have to see what else all I can do with the BB 7130c.

My goodly pal,

Whenever you post a new topic within a group, such as this group "General 7100 Series Discussion," just remember what discussion group you posted in and the title you gave to your new topic.

Nice!

Looks like right now the 7130c is free (after rebates) on Amazon.com right now. Is Amazon 'reliable' as far as being an indirect? I hear these horror stories about other indirects (mostly Wirefly) and I am nervous about purchasing from a non-corporate store.

Not sure if Amazon is reliable when dealing with a cellphone purchase. If I were a newly subscribing customer and could get this phone FREE, you bet I'd try, for sure!

As it were, however, I am an existing customer with no upgrade available, hence my outright purchase on the Bay. There always seems to be grand deals to be had on cellphones when you upgrade or when you purchase a new plan as a new customer.

Everybody knows!!!!!!!!!!!!

I know my Amazon experience was flawless.

Gah! I knew if I had waited a bit I could get it for free. But $99.00 instant price is well worth it for me.

I would definitely go through amazon again. They are such a huge powerhouse online I would think they take care of their people

Liv,

Did you transfer a number or activate an entirely new line of service? I am out of contract on T-Mo and trying to get a new BB to replace my POS 7100t. Don't get me wrong, I love BB but this thing is just sooooo slow and always gets bogged down when I have more than a few hundred emails on it... anyway there is all this fine print on amazon about what you can and can't do and which plans you can use and I'm just trying to figure out if it's worth it or just pay the 249.95 to upgrade through T-mo.....

Anyone with any suggestions?

T

Are you with CIngular, and if so, did you upgrade on an existing contract? From what I could tell on Amazon, that price is just for new subscribers, but I wasn't clear on that.

Thanks.

It is for new Cingular subscribers and you can NOT transfer your existing number. So you get a new phone number.

Yes, RJ is right.

It is for new Cingular Subscribers...so actually right now I have two accounts in my name right now. I was going to cancel my other one (I had an 8700c with no contract on it) - but my sister is using the account. So Amazon works for new cingular contracts...not nessicarily new Cingular customers.

As for the phone number, the reason you can't transfer your number over is because Cingular gives you I think 30 days or so to transfer it over, but RIM won't let you make changes to the account for 60 days (Give or take). So it does not work.

I guess you could change your number much later, but would have to keep the account with the number you want to use active for an extra month or so, In order to meet the requirments.
