I see that the 85xx forum is for Gemini.. but I'm guessing this is the right place to post a question for the Curve 8530 as well?

I am considering to buy a Curve 8530 from MetroPCS, but I don't want to get a phone where I have to constantly empty my inbox/outbox since i like saving my texts.

Does anyone know the exact limits for inbox and outbox on the BB Curve 8530 from metroPCS?

Also, does this phone support transferring texts to your PC?

There is no limit except what the internal memory can handle. You need to have about 15-20MB of free space for the operating system to function properly. Depending on the size of your messages, you can have hundreds of old emails on the device.

When I changed phones I did a backup and restored my new one from that backup file. That should save your text messages and transfer them. Carriers like Sprint can do this for you in the store when you upgrade BlackBerrys. I don't know if MetroPCS does this though. Best solution is an app like DexRex, which backs up your text messages to an online storage site.
