I actually posted here a week or so ago about the media card I had in my BB Curve. For some reason, overnight, it stopped working and my berry went back to the default picture and all my pics and ringtones vanished.
I've tried a number of things, including trying to put the memory card directly into my computer-- which, like my blackberry, says it requires reformatting.
I haven't done that yet--reformatting, that is.
So, I called up SanDisk, who makes my card and explained my problem. They referred me to LC-Tech, which is a data recovery company.
Basically, if I want my stuff back, I have to pay for it.
I'm not so interested in doing that, as I'm kind of annoyed that this memory card went bust after a mere 9 months. SanDisk has said they'd replace it if reformatting doesn't work post- data recovery which is all fine and dandy, but I'm really wondering if I have to use their company.
I see a lot of freebie recovery programs floating around the internet and I'm wondering if anyone has experience with them?
I know, I know, this probably should be on the SanDisk forum, but y'all know I trust you Blackberry Forum folks the most.
Thanks!
