i have an unlocked bbcurve 8310 which was on at&t that i got for christmas but i have a tmobile account so i use the bbcurve on my tmobile account... i have downloaded some apps and loaded some apps on the phone but there is a problem with it... when i try to run the apps a message says "service not enabled for this handheld" or "network unavailable. This application requires a data connection, and some blackberry devices require reconfiguration to work properly." but i do have an unlimited data and text messaging plan so whats the problem? there is a tmobile app on my phone called t-zones i can use that perfectly but if i try anything else out of t-zone it doesnt work like my AIM app or my GoogleMaps app it prompts those messages when i try to access these apps .... WHATS THE PROBLEM...SOMEONE HELP ME PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!

Do you have a BlackBerry data plan or just T-Zones? You'll need the BB Data plan to use the phone to its maximum potential data-wise.

i got the unlimited smartphone plan with unlimited text messaging ... arent those the same thing ?

No. You need a Blackberry specific data plan. It should be either 19.99 or 24.99 (including 400 text messages) as an add-on to your voice plan.

okay i just took off the smartphone plan and added the blackberry unlimited data and text messaging plan should it work now

Thanks all i did was get the black berry plan and register my phone with my network and i updated my blackberry device software and bammmm my phone rebooted and all of my features i can use thanks alot guys
