Hi All,

I have got my BlackBarry pearl 8220 (Flip), T-MOBILE from USA. Now I want to use it in India with other carriers but it is locked. Can any body tell, how can i get my phone unlocked..It would be very nice if anybody explain the procedure step by step and it would be of great help if any body can upload s/w's or related links to get my problem resolved.I have no access to Subsidy Unlock Code. I don't want to spend any money on this matter now.......Please help me out.

do you have an account with T-Mobile USA?
if you own the device out right, you can call T-Mobile and ask for the unlock code to be sent to you by e-mail.

My sister has an account with T-Mobile USA, but i don't think they will provide her the code and I m not sure about does she own this device fully right now.

i live in delhi and am using a pearl flip...
but at the time i bought it, it was already unlocked.....

well 2 ways to unlock pay or get with the carrier ... no other option
most places only charge 9.99 for t-mobile unlock code

I have not found unlock codes for the 8220 for less then $17. My experience after trying 5 different unlock vendors is that most return "not found" which means that the code is only available directly from RIM. Horizon Wireless was the only one able to get the code for my 8220.

The best bet is to contact T-mobile international services and request the code. Explain the situation, you have nothing to loose. There are posts on various forums reporting success even though they were not customers.

If your sister has been a T-Mobile customer for 90 days or more, they will give her the code. If not, explain to them that the phone will be used overseas and often they will still give the code.

well the only way to do it for free is to call tmo or purchase the unlock code
i can get the code for any bb any carrier even if they are "NOT FOUND" for 19.99
