Default Menu key opens a strip of icons???

Please Login to Remove!

I'm new to the Storm (upgraded from 8320) and really like it. Today, I pressed the menu key while on the home screen. Instead of opening the main menu screen with all the icons, a small strip of 8 icons displayed. I can't get the main menu screen to display any more. What happened? Is there a setting I can adjust to fix this? I didn't find anything about this in the manual. I'm using the .103 update. Thanks for any suggestions!

Are you sure you haven't locked the "alt" key on? Press alt and see if that helps...

Yeah, I already tried the battery remove/re-seat thing and made sure the ALT key was off, too. I found that pressing the menu key rapidly sometimes cycles between the icon strip, main menu screen and menu items. I think I'm going to try re-installing .103 if I can't find a fix.

That menu that's coming up is the application switcher. Those are the applications that are currently running. Pressing and holding the menu button brings that up, so I wonder if maybe your menu button is sticking a little bit or something.

I know someone else recently posted about the same problem. Let me see if I can find the thread. They may have found a solution.

That is the list of active tasks you can switch to. Just click on an empty part of the screen and then hit the bb key again. (and of course I NOW see somebody just said the same thing)
