I haven't had any issues with .51 either, much better than previous releases.

auto brightness quirks (dimming when it shouldn't i.e. in brickbreaker and not dimming at all when streaming audio media)
loosing conversations on BBM with battery pull
media player acting weird when streaming media
random uncaught exceptions when loading youtube videos
sluggishness in answering calls and opening sms/emails

i'm pretty sure these issues could have been fixed by 4.5.0.56 and i have read that streaming codecs were targeted in the releases after .51

any power user will notice that .51 has quirks that only patient and tech savy people will put up with

I guess I shouldn't say that. The screen itself is sluggish to respond to an answered call, but the device it self doesn't have any delay.

My BBM issue didn't carry over from .33/.45

I installed CDMA 4.5.0.51 on my vzn 8830 after a full backup and a wipe yesterday. I've noticed the following:

1: From home screen, sluggish response when I click on ANY pgm to run
2: Html email doesn't load images; get lots of boxes and blue arrow activity going both ways despite resending service books and altering the APN
3: Media player was quirky running a video file; after I started the vid and it was running full screen, I pressed the Menu key and the screen shrank, centered, and there were no controls available. The only way I could stop the video was by doing a battery pull.
4: Battery life doesn't seem as long

All in all, though, I like most of the changes; Calendar seems to work better when syncing w/ google calendar sync; like the media player controls so much that I'm not even fooling with xplayer; like voice note recorder as a separate menu pgm.

Haven't tried DocsToGo yet, not have I tried any GPS maps pgm with my BT puck; that will come later this week when on the road.

Bluetooth connections have been very good, switching from a Motorola H350 to a Plantronics 520 to a Motorola S9 (haven't tried media player's "EQ" settings)

Make sure you update your docs to go by opening either of the apps, hitting menu, and check for updates. Then it will include excel support.

With the email, hit menu>load images.

Any idea why I would get a firewall policy violation on my vzn 8830 when I try to run Word To Go? I'm on BIS?
