No one "knows" anything. All rumors and speculation - which is where this thread belongs.

Yes, you do love crackberry.com, I understand that.
All rumors, for your information (I don't write in IM speak - makes one appear ignorant).

It's a rumor, there is no official confirmation from anyone about a Storm2 launch by the end of this month.

Don't be silly.

These are the same people who weekly post that Verizon will be posting a new version of the handheld OS. And yet, amazingly, they still have the old, bug ridden version on their site. Don't believe everything you read (or hear) - when the Storm 2 or whatever shows up in a store, then it's believable.

The only thing that we do know is that there is a Storm 2, it is thinner than the original Storm, it has a different touch screen technology, and we know it is coming for Verizon Wireless. There are rumors(from very solid sources, not just bloggers), that it will also include wifi, and other upgrades. However, these are yet to be fully confirmed.

i definitely don't appreciate what RIM and Verizon have done here. releasing the sucessor to a device they released only 6 months ago.....

very Apple-esque of RIM to do something like this, making everyone's Storm drop in value drastically when this 2nd generation Storm goes on sale.
