So it finally worked after uninstalling and reinstalling on my comp a million times, but is there any way you can get all the original apps to come up in the app loader? They won't come up for me...when I bring up app loader now, only the third party apps...and I need ish like Memopad...

UMA is automatic. Connect to Wi-Fi and it will enable if your provider supports it.
I'm on Rogers and I tested it yesterday, I tuend off the mobile network and was making phone calls through Wi-Fi immediately.
Your 3G/2G/GRPS icon will say UMA (((i))) <--Antenna image with range
If Telus does not support it, then I would assume it won't show up.

I don't know if I am missing something here or what the hell is going on, but media will no longer play since upgrading to this OS version. Pictures are fine, but music and video give an error ..... "An error occurred attempting to play blah, blah, blah."
All worked perfectly before the upgrade so I know its not my files. So please don't tell me I gotta wipe my device ...... I'm really not in the mood to do that.

I got an email from RIM notifying me of this... Installed it [had to d'load new loader app] and it's working great. I think this is the first trouble-free OS upgrade I've ever done [no more messing around with betas]...aside from having my icons rearranged a bit.
I did a battery pull before and after the upgrade...maybe that helped?

It seems to be noted here in a few places.
After a fresh OS, try not only giving the phone a couple of battery pulls throughout the day, but also give the phone 24-48 hours to 'settle in'
I noticed with a battery at about 80% yesterday, I was able to GPS for 40 minutes, had mobile network onm and wi-fi on but not connected, then played about 2 hours of music. I was also using the web browser. By the end of last night (5am) my battery was at 5%
Today I'll charge it and it will last until Monday night as I'm back to my normal, minimal use.

I'm on AT&T seems to be a pretty solid update with no performance issues I'm aware of. I'm bummed they finally killed off the keyboard lock "k" shortcut in this but I suppose it was coming. all of their other phones use that top lock button now and I was on a torth for a week which seems that in OS 6 finally forces the switch forever.

I have 2 Blackberry 9700's both with Rogers Wireless.
1 Blackberry after the upgrade UMA worked, the other it did not. I even tried switching to "Wi-Fi Only" and it changed to "OFF" instead of UMA.
Can anyone shed some light on what may be the issue?
Thanks,
--Phil

Seems to be a little bug in this release that is beginning to p*ss me off. I am losing my notification sounds totally at random and have to reboot to fix. I have had to reboot with this OS version more in the last week than I have since I got this BB. Otherwise, performance seems quite good and fixes some other little quirks I was having. Anyone else have this happen? I may do the dreaded wipe if no one else is having this prob.

Just encountered another possible bug ...... My backlight timeout was set for 2 minutes .... For whatever reason it just started timing out at 30 seconds even though it clearly shows 2 minutes being selected. Quickly losing faith in this build. :(

Bold 9700 Stuck in the Bootup Process
Hmm. I just tried to upgrade my AT&T 9700 to this release and after it boots, it gets "stuck" on the AT&T World Phone screen. I've done a battery pull.
Suggestions appreciated!
Regards,
Rob
