my 8700c is picking up lots of background noise. to the extent that when i walk on gravel my wife wonders what's goign on.

and the other party can usually hear birds singing in the backgrounds, traffic noise, other people talking when i'm in the office......

does anyone know if there's anything i can do? or do i just have to find a quiet spot to make calls?

Gil, I have had the same problem usually when I'm someplace that has music or overhead speakers, supermarket, electronics stores, etc. My wife says it is so loud she can barely hear me...the only time she doesn't complain is when I am using my BT headset. It seems that mic doesn't pick up all the background noise.
