I still don't see any war, BlackBerry still sells twice as many PDAs than Apple. Is that really a war?

I gotta say that the copy and paste that Apple invented for the iPhone/iPod Touch is MUCH easier to use than my Pearl or my daughters Curve. It may have taken a while to get here but it works really well.

Yes, the Blackberry has copy and paste. It isn't this easy. Well, maybe it is on a Storm. I've never even seen one. On the devices that most Blackberry owners have, it isn't this easy.

Apple - iPhone - Cut, copy, and paste text and photos on iPhone.

The part that I really like is shake to undo.

lol, what? Copy/Cut and paste is incredibly simply on the BlackBerry... moreso simple on the Pearl, Bold, Curves, etc., than even the Storm.
Perhaps you just aren't using it correctly.

Hold shift, roll ball, release, menu key, copy -> menu key, paste. That's not as easy as tap, expand, copy -> tap, paste.

It's not like I said it was hard. It's just easier (for me, there I said it) to do it on the Touch.

Default Re: 3GS iPhone

Dang, I have to eat my words.

I just got the new White 32GB Apple iPhone 3GS and the screen is MUCH more responsive and quick then the 1st Generation iPhones I once had. It seems at this point it may last, or at least last longer then the originals did after they were used awhile. MUCH better than ALL the other touch screen devices out there in the market. The BB Storm's touch screen is one of the worst, being you actually push on the screen and the screen moves some. Yuk!

As far as the cut an paste goes, nice added feature but is still funny or kind of a joke.

Overall I like the 3GS version and this may be the 1st touch screen device I will end up liking, keeping, and using ..... time will tell though in the long run.
IF it does start to fail or act up like ALL other touch screen devices eventually do, then I will be back with Sprint again using my Red BlackBerry Curve 8330m and the Tour.

I'll say it...

Realistically the only reason I have a blackberry is because I like to feel the buttons. Pinning is a bonus because a ton of my friends have a BB but its not a deal breaker for me.

BB should really take a clue from this and start advertising the best features like email. I mean things like getting hotmail, yahoo, gmail, etc. instantly. IM clients for the same.

I would have bought a BB years before if I had known what BIS does. With over half of new users on BIS last quarter, they really have to think consumer awareness.

The other REALLY nice thing about the copy/paste that Apple invented is the ability to change your selection after you have made it. If I need to expand or contract a selection I just pull the top or the bottom of the selection and it is changed. I can't find a way on a BB to change the selection without starting over.

The Apple method is nice, but going back and starting over using the BB method really isn't that difficult, nor a big deal.

I could frankly care less either way, but it doesn't seem to me that people are hammering on the fact that the iPhone HAS c&p, rather, how it's been portrayed.

It is a weak complaint, considering you can get an iphone with 32g. Does the BB even support that much? Also I've owned several BBs and know many other people that do too and none of them ever remove the media card once it's installed, if they even install one at all. So yes, it is a very weak argument.
