Default Classic - No Voicemail Indicator

I've never had so many problems with a new phone in my life until I bought this thing. In addition to the other threads, I now have an issue whereby when someone leaves a voicemail, I don't get any VM Icon with a message count. I had received messages over the past three days and I never knew it. I checked profiles to see if there was an alert setting I had off by chance but did not see anything. Is this a bug with the phone or something that I need to do? I'm getting close to returning for a refund.

Disregard. The carrier had a visual voicemail temp profile that I did not accept in place so it would not allow any VM alerts. They had seen this before with Samsung phones apparently. Anyway, they terminated the temp profile and made it active and voila - VM alerts. Crazy!

AT&T gives you a temp profile when you switch to a new device an you almost always have to call them at *611 to reset it

Yeah this was with Verizon. Beyond silly that they would do that. Oh well...
