Default "Unable to connect to the database!"

Please Login to Remove!

I know there have been many posts with this, but I can't find one that fits my situation. It was working fine for myself and two other admins, but today we suddenly started getting this error message. I get this error even trying to launch the BlackBerry Manager from the BES using the besadmin account that was used to install everything. I've even done a complete uninstall/reinstall and I'm still getting it. I verified all permissions according to the documentation, and I am able to connect to the MDSE database.

try a repair,

its definatly something to do with the BES server being unable to communicate with the besadmin mailbox. nothing to do with the database. you can tell from the logs files.

try updating the mapi profile

in addition to exchange permissions, come accross this a few times and the above tends to resolve the issue

Unhappy Unable to connect to database

Hello

We have been using BES 4 for a while now and we have installed 2 new MS exchange server 2003 SP 2 servers in to my domain.

We are moving all mailboxes from the 2 existing exchange servers to the 2 new ones as these are in a cluster. When moving the BESadmin mailbox and then changing the MAPI profile to point to one of the new servers this does not allow me to connect to the database at all. I get the Unable to Connect to Database message.

I have read some posts with regards to this, but none of them seem to point me in the right direction.

Any thoughts are appriciated

Regards

Gareth Collins
